The problem: Kenya has a maternal mortality rate which is five times higher than SDG target 3.1 i.e. 70 per 100,000 live births. Insufficient staffing or limited availability of healthcare professionals is a contributing factor to the high maternal mortality rate. In the absence of consultant Obstetricians and Gynecologists, first line health workers dealing with obstetric emergencies face the challenge in that they lack access to training of lifesaving skills and latest guidelines to treat emergencies or even stabilize patients prior to and during referral.

The solution: Health workers no longer have to rely solely on outdated textbooks or limited training opportunities. They can access the platform at their convenience, allowing for self-paced learning and ongoing professional development. By empowering health workers with the necessary skills, this innovation significantly reduces the risk of medical errors and improves the overall quality of care provided to expectant mothers.
